i just cut mine not too long ago. with the tools you have you will figure out that its a hole lot harder than you think lol. If you have a grinder, get a cutoff wheel that fits it and use that. It works great just tape it off thango for it. Check out mine they turned out good.

How can I test my ignition coil?

I've drifted around online a bit and got some semi confusing results.

The vehicle is an '89 Jeep Cherokee with a 4.0. I've read that all I need to do is check the resistance between the primary and secondary coil. My questions are:

What do I set my volt meter to, and how much resistance am I looking for?(A range would be ok.)

Back story is this. No start. Will crank forever, but no start. Have fuel pressure but no spark. Plugs and wires are good, and I'm assuming the dizzy is all good because it is a newer motor, and it seems that everything bolted to the motor is new, and everything bolted to the body, got no attention. Dizzy is bolted to the motor, but the ignition coil is bolted to the inner fender. Hence my thoughts that it's the ignition coil.

This was a (seemingly) catastrophic failure. As far as I could tell there was no slow decline in performance. Just good, to bad.

ok i have a few things to ask.

FIRST: noticed my front end is leaking some kind of fluid. it seems to be coming out where the front drive shaft goes into the pumpkin.

SECOND: how much break fluid would i need to do a full flush and refill of my breaks?

THIRD: what is the volume of our coolant system. I need to flush and fill it. to save money im using full strength and cutting it with distilled water. But i need to know the full volume and stuff. also is there anything that can help me run cooler on the regular basis. like is 50/50 the most effective mixture for cooling purposes? (i already plan modding my fans to run whenever the key is on and adding hood vents)

Easy question, is there a difference between rtv red and ultra black? If so is one better than the other?

So for a transfer case rebuild I'd be better off with the ultra black from that info. thank you for that. I really don't want to have to pull that thing out twice.

Because your only spacing the shock. You need to space the spring to get lift.
