I believe it's as simple as pulling the ABS fuse, but you may have to swap the proportioning valve / master cylinder. I dunno for sure.

So is it worth it? I have a worn out noisy Dana turdy-five. I thought it would be easier to find a jy 8.25, or should I search for a jy Dana 44? I guess I would still need to disable the ABS?

If you find a 44, go for it!

That is, if I find one. I don't know how much longer my 35 is going to last. I'll probably look at the jy 2 or 3 more times for a 44, if I don't have any luck then i'll look for a 8.25.

Damn that's a toughy. RockAuto.Com has a front converter listed, but it clearly says "Not legal for sale or use in the State of California."

Do you mean o2 sensors? It sounds like you mean your upstream o2 sensors.

No not the O2 sensors, It has two cats that look like little barrels right off the manifold.
I think they are only on the last few years of production.

I don't believe there is such a thing as cheap cross over steering, unless you happen upon a front axle that has is stock, I have seen some custom jobs using wj knuckle but it doesn't look cheap.
