any year - won't matter.

Also while you're there I would grab new door-side mounts for those pins. Your pin holes are WAY oval lol. You can take them from the back doors of the donor and they stand a good chance of being in perfect shape.

It's considered cheating, your jeep won't start cause she will know you were un faithful lol

Default Hood insulation pad

I hope I am asking this question in the right place.. As many responses as possible are welcome!

My HOOD INSULATION PAD is SOAKED in oil.. ANY reason this would be? I do not see any leaks or reason why the pad is just seeping oil when i press on it. Thank you!

So my new to me used leafsprings measure 49.25" eyelet to eyelet and the ones on my jeep with weight on them measure 52" eyelet to eyelet. This should be fine right? My new ones don't have weight on them. So they have a lot of arch and are shorter. This should be fine right?

The length of something doesnt magically get longer once weight is put on it?

Classic were those Clowns?

The only way you can measure leaf springs is along the spring surface. Needs to be 51.5" eye to eye. Spring rates are different so the arch or horizontal length will never measure out to to mean anything

Thank you Dukie for an educated answer, I will go check. And yes they were clowns. Dukie they measure 53" exactly. That means they'll fit right? There is 5 springs and it has many inches of positive arch.

yessir - they'll fit. When he was trying to figure out the pack the best i could come up with was that it's a OEM HD pack, probably with a AAL in there somewhere, but i don't know for sure. Post some pics.

I will once the paint dries. I don't know if you remember but I added 2" shackles and my rear was so bad that I only gained 1/4" taller than stock. So my rig sits level now. Since I finally have leaves with positive arch I will actually have a 2" lift in the back. Then I can finally put in my pucks in the front. Hopefully my shocks won't bottom out anymore then!

well we'll see. I think those were sold in CL as 4" springs. Now i don't think that they are, but they may give you more than 2"... just be prepared.

I was wondering how does one take off the cross rails on the stock roof rack?
