ummm I believe they are tha baja mtx.. shelled out a pretty penny for them, mainly for the rims they were on but tries were almost new. so different tires are outta the question for awhile

Yeah, the locker thing is really about stability. When you have one tire that does not spin it keeps/holds your vehicle inline with the direction of travel. So you only have one tire loosing traction on the snow or ice which keeps your Jeep "or car" straight while trying to go. If you have both tires spinning and loosing traction you have the whole back of your Jeep/car sliding sideways instead of one tire spinning and one tire keeping you lined up with the road. On rocks and typical off road 4x4 stuff they are great. In the snow they are not as easy to drive because you have both tires sliding sideways and making you fishtail. I have had several Mustangs with posi and in the snow they were terrible. I usually got as far as I could, park it in a safe place and walked home. lol They would slide sideways while trying to get going and slide towards the slanted drainage slope of the road. Usually into the curb. Sucked.

okay so im about to buy an 88 2-door with 277xxx miles and the 4.0l. its the limited model and all the power windows and locks work good the rear hatch locks and opens fine it has the d44 rear axle has a 2 inch lift with 31's the floor pans are not rotted out its priced at $900. is this a good price? (sounds good to me) and is there any other things to look for when i go to check it out tomorrow? the only thing i was worried about is are the renix's harder to work on then the newer ones do they have any problems that new ones dont? any help is greatly appreciated as it will be daily driver to school and back. id really like some quick replies as im going to get it tomorrow unless you guys think its a peice of junk. merry christmas and thanks for the help.

I have a 1985 cherokee with a 2.5 lt motor. for some reason the entire dash lights just went out. Yes I have already checked the fuses. any sugestions?

What are peoples opinion on the non c-clip dana 35 is this version of the axle worth upgrading ie 30 spline shafts lockers and all the good stuff? the only problem I have read about involves the c-clip the shaft breaking and the wheel flying off or that you cant run 40" tires without breaking them this is supposedly the axle in the rear of my 89 so that is why I am interested.

Getting ready, the 235's are wearing out, to get 32" tires. I want to re gear for that size tire, 4.11, but I have a high pinion D30 in the front. Only going 33" at the most in the future so will this axle suffice, even with a locker, with this gearing and tire set up?

My speed sensor went out a month or so ago. I'm trying to buy a replacement from autozone (got an autozone gift card for christmas and I'd like to put it to use). The one they have on their web site doesn't look even close to right. I called and they said they don't have one listed and its probably going to be a dealer part. Is this true? Has anyone else had this problem? I've dealt with this employee before and he's a moron. I'd like to use my "free money" if I can before I shop elsewhere. Thanks.
