Default Heat problem v2.0

Hey guys,

So I posted a few days ago about my 91 cherokee 6cyl with no heat. Finally got around to swapping the thermostat and flushing rad/heater core. But even after running for half an hour its still not blowing hot. Lines leading to the core are hot so I'm wondering if theres an issue with the temp selector. Any thoughts or ideas where to go next? Thanks

If there is a vacuum leak in the lines to the heater switch it will cause it to work incorrectly. Check all vacuum lines to the vacuum ball and to the switch.

I second this, check the vacuum ball behind the bumper, and the vacuum line itself

92 xj, 4.0, 4x4, ax-15,
I did a little more research and found out that they used the same one on dodge pickups and vans, and a few maserati's. I came up with the same part number. I guess I should have checked more before I asked. Thanks for the help!

Talked boselys tire store into giving me a set of 31s for free that have half tread left. My jeep has a 2" lift will they fit? Does removing the fender flares give anymore room?

should fit but you may need to trim fender flair. put them on and see how they fit and if you need to then trim or remove.

I'm buying all my own parts for a shop to install a new cat and muffler on my 96 xj. Is there any smaller parts like seals, hangers, and clamps etc. I need to buy for them? I'm tired of paying the jacked up price shops charge for parts. I don't want to walk in with just the cat and muffler and they tell me they have to order other parts. By the way, the cat is a drop in and the muffler is a flowmaster super 40. Anything else I need to order?

Sometimes from vibration the plug in the back of the instrument cluster looses contact and the lights stop working. You can also check the dimmer/light switch, when they go out so do the lights.

Try this speed sensor. It has the mechanical and the electrical connector so you have both options. They came on the 92 Wranglers but will fit our XJ's too. It is an Autozone part. Part #SU3008

They are good for older XJ's when you are putting in a newer instrument cluster with electronic speedo's. Plus it is cheap. $67.99

The sensor dukie564 told you about "SU3007" is an electronic speedo sensor too and will work too and is probably the one yours had to begin with. $32.99 at Autozone. Even cheaper. Leaves you money for the solid steel ZJ V8 Tie Rod upgrade from Autozone. ;0) lol
Autozone part number: DS1312 $34.99
It's off of a V8 1995 Grand Cherokee and fits our XJ's perfectly. Our stock one is shiit. Hollow rolled tube. Bends way too easy.

Default question on tire carrier

I got a factory tire carrier for my 89 for christmas and have been looking at photos of mounted carriers. My question is is there a diagram or template showing how to mount ? I'm sure I can figure it out but a little visual info would sure help. Thanks

Anyone else think this tie rod is worth swapping?
..or recommend any others, for a stock height wheeler?
