So what I did today was just un hook the battery and I attempted to take the NSS of and clean it. I got everything all disconected but I couldn't get the NSS of the shaft that it sits on. I got really and just hooked it all back up. And the Jeep turned right over.. So I have no clue what is going on.
I partially still think it the NSS because from reading other threads on here it sounds like this part doesn't totally go out at once. And plus, I have always had problems with my reverse lights.

If u have a dead cell, means there is a short between the plates in the battery. You could hit a bump and everything shuts off, or just trying to start the motor the starter will draw more then the short can handle then down it goes. Yes it can be only intermitent. When it shorts out it can be like a black hole, even trying to jump the jeep wont start it, in this case if u disconnect the battery and connect your jumpers directly to your jeep (bypassing the battery) it should start, and if it does then u know u have a dead cell.
Im not saying it is your problem, but it sounds like it. And its free to diagnos.

What happens is that ur battery could have a full charge and when u open the door, all the interior lights will come on, u stick the key in the ignition and ur dash lights will come on, turn the key and ur fuel pump will prime, then when u try to turn the engine over EVERYTHING shuts off.

I was trying to diagnose my engine problems but ended up fixing my break booster, AC, and cruise control without even trying. Vacuum sure can be a tricky bugger

Today I drove to work and home (60 miles round trip, 45 mins each way) with the cap for the coolant reservoir open. I added a little bit before I left for work and realized it was open when I came home. I looked in the reservoir and it didn't seem to have any particles or oil or anything in it but, is there anything to worry about?

Hey new here and have been looking everywhere for answers can't find anyone with even a clue. I have a 97 jeep grand Cherokee 5.2 L all time 4X4. It seems to be locked in 4 wheel drive all the time. When I turn sharp it does the tire hop thing. I have already had to replace the front cv axles twice due to this problem I've checked the diff and it isn't welded or locked up at all. Any help would be grate thanks
