What to y'all think about removing the fenders, but not trimming them. Like, putting bolts in the holes and painting. Plus it's stock no lift. Think it'll look stupid??

Removing the fenders or the fender flares? IMO I think no fenders would look stupid.. However my jeep has no fender flares and I Think it looks rather good (sorry this is the best pic I have at the moment)

Ppl have run xj's without fenders ans it looks sweet but they are complete off roader. my honest opinion tho if it's your dd don't do it. Also I think on stock it'd look funny unless you decide to run big tires.

Question:
I've been trying to determine which speedo gear I'll need for a 2001 with NP231, 3.55, 33s.
I know I need a shortshaft 30 or 31 tooth gear, but different charts are conflicting. Does anyone have input, or does it not really matter?
Check with randys ring and pinion. Www.ringpinion.com they have a Speedo gear chart.

I ment the flares! Taking the flares off and not trimming the metal, just putting bolts in the holes the plastic flares used to be attached. Comment??

This is the jeep btw...

Thanks. I started checking more, and most seem to say 30 tooth. Then I searched and found someone selling a 30 tooth on eBay for $20 compared to $70 new. Now I'm waiting on delivery.

Almost guarantee its the wires. For example, if I open my driver's door, and squeeze the boot, my speaker comes on.. sometimes lasts a few days, too!
Hmmm.. YKYDAXJ thread, here it comes!

They're showing up. It's a white 2-door.
My opinion? the XJ looks fantastic, but the rear bumper caps should be reattached, and the fenders should be trimmed. If the owner is patient and does the cutting right, it's gonna look great.
