Ok, that makes sense. When it starts to malfunction, I hear a clicking coming from under the steering column.

What does it look like anyway?

When taking off the downpipe from the manifold do you have to have a wrench on the bolt head on top while taking the nut off the bottom side or is it secured on top?
Edit: and what do you guys recommend for replacement bolts cuz i like to be prepared since it seems everytime i take a bolt off an exhaust it snaps

I suppose some are different. Mine has studs in the manifold. I guess there are an array of sexy alloys, but brass is, I think, a practical way to go.

Great. The nuts are seized. It has bolt heads when i reach up and feel the top so idk first jeep and never had one apart. I hatr heating nuts and bolts up cuz i usually twist em afterwards

mine had bolts. I replace everything with grade 8 so i don't snap anything later

It's best to accept that you will break everything before you start. If they are in fact bolts, at least you wont have to drill the studs out of the manifold. I would use stainless as replacements. Apply high temp anti-sieze compound to the threads if you want to have half a chance of getting them apart in the future.

Busted one off and the other nut came off ok. They are studs. So i called the trusted muffler shop and they opened up a bay for me. 70 bucks to repair said stud and put the new down pipe on for me. I hate exhaust lol

Looking at buying some new wheels. I have stock size tires so what size wheel? 15x7 , 15x8..etc

i would stick with the stock wheels until you upgrade tire size/lift. 15x7 is all I recommend for 225/235 size tires, which is the stock rim size. If you dislike the OEM wheels you have right now, check craigslist - people list them for cheap all the time. Wheels off a TJ or YJ will fit also, as well as some older Ford Ranger wheels - they just need to have a 5x4.5 bolt pattern

So, here's a strange one. My brother has a Studebaker station wagon that he put an XJ rear sway bar on (apparently it fits almost perfect). He's trying to get it to handle better. He's been asking me if there was anywhere to get a heavier duty one to stiffen it up even more. I told him probably not because every body just removes them. I told him I'd ask. Thanks!
