1987 cherokee.

What size/thread pitch are the mounting bolts for the bumper and factory tow hook? Also what does the vacuum canister mounted behind the passanger side of the bumper control?

The ball controls the heater/ ac. Coming from the vents. If this is dissconnected youll only have air coming from the windshield vent.

AFAIK all NP231s use the same speedo gear, and I think you can yank the sensor without having to drop it. Just swap with the one from your old tcase.
Ok I can take the gear from my old tcase and put it in the new one?

That sound like it'd work.

Last weekend while wheeling I ended up taking the front bumper caps off because I was rubbing bad.

As I was looking at my 99 Cherokee Sport, I noticed I was missing the vacuum ball behind the bumper. The line was there but no ball. I decided to plug the line until I can get a replacement ball. I put a piece of tape over the end and wrapped it in duct tape. Just doing that made my cruise control work better and vent worked better also.

Headed to JY to get a ball and relocate.

Cool. Looks like I broke a vaccum nipple and will need to source a new canister.

Bolts I needed were 10x1.50. turns out I tore the tow hook bracket in half.......ooppps

So, i'm back with another question. What is the best quality for the money replacement for the front shocks on my cherokee? it's a 1997 sport and I want some shocks that will do great on and off road at stock height. Would the Gabriel Ultras be a decent choice?

I have same problem with my 99. Mines the neutral safety switch on transmission. I have to push the gear shift forward and hold while starting mine with the key. Sometime i need to put it in neutral and push forward almost into reverse. But it always starts up with remote every time. I don't get it either.

I did the swap in my 2K and I don't think my GPM moved at all. Throttle response went up and it seemed to have more pull, not as much shifting down on hills, than it had. Good mod if you can get a good deal on the injectors. I used the Ford XR3Z 9F593 A4B and got them off EBAY for $80 I think for all 6.

Im going to look at an 88 Comanche tomorrow and the guy lists it as having a 94 motor swapped in. He says the rear mains out. Is there anyway to tell the correct year motor that is swapped in to buy the correct rear main or are they sll pretty much the same

I have a 3" RC lift in my 97 cherokee sport. I want bigger lift but dont have the money to do a "correct" full 6" inch lift. Is it a good idea to put an extra add a leaf in in the back and 2 inch blocks and then spacers in the front to even it out? any suggestions would be helpful!
