What's the most common reason to steam coming from the left front (passenger) head light area/grill?
My coolant temp stays steady at 208-210 and never fluctuates but if I leave it idle or after shutdown of driving it will steam from the grill.

Today I took my drivers door panel off again. With everything connected and I push the auto lock button the button moves some but does not lock. I can't even lock it with the key. I looked at the rods and couldn't see that they were hanging up on anything. I manually pushed and pulled the lock rod and the button moves but does not seem to engage in the lock position.

One of the rods had to have gotten bent or something. The tolerances for those things are very strict. If it's bent just a little, it would cause it not to engage properly. Not sure what else it could be if you can't lock it manually or electrically. Perhaps when you took the switch/inner door handle panel off, you bent the rod going to the manual lock switch? IDK...

When i changed my upper hose, i cranked down too hard on the hose clamp, and actually cracked the neck a little on top of the radiator. Now, when I've been driving a while(like more than an hour) I'll get some steaming, sometimes even a little tiny tinkle directly beneath the passenger's edge of the radiator. If all of your hoses are good, i'd pop the hood and look to see exactly where it's coming from. Also, it'd be worth checking your radiator cap, make sure it's rated for the right pressure for our XJ's. If it's not seating right, that can give you a lot of negative results.
Thanks for the input.
I've tried to track down exactly where this leak is coming from but I haven't been able to find the source. I'm going to take another look since it will be warmer this weekend.
I'm also planning on replacing the radiator cap since it's cheap.
