Recently i have been experiencing some trouble with my gauges and my radio, my radio comepletely stopped working, its. not getting any power what so ever and now my gauges have been shutting off so i cant see how fast im goin or if i have any fuel. Anyone else ever deal with this! Pleaaaaaase help!!

okay so i want to get as much flex as i can with my jeep and i have a 3 in rough country lift and the sway bars are off so is there any way to get any more flex out of it

and it is offroad only for now so anything will help

Longer rear shackles will allow for more flexing in the leafs, i guess you could remove bumpstops?

Sounds like a grounding issue. Check the firewall on the engine side there is a ground wire there, I believe, for te dash

I just replaced the TPS on my 99 XJ and now it seems to idle at 1200 rpm. It runs a heck of a lot better but didn't do this before. Does it need some sort of calibration? Also the new one doesn't want to let the plug click into place. Here's the part # if it helps: EC3167 by BWD

Did you accidentally leave the IAC disconnected? does it drive and shift correct?

Who here has a shop and/or a shop lift? Im going to a place that rents out garage space and tools and I have never witnessed my jeep being lifted. It may be simple but i have no idea.........

Default Drive shaft slipped out off road!

So I took my XJ off-road in the snow with a lifted Land Cruiser leading the way. I have a stock '90 XJ 4.0L with all-seasons. Things were going great - it kept up well. Until....

All of a sudden, deep in hard-packed snow, I felt and heard a loud snap. I lost power. I shifted from 4-h to 2-h, and it just spinned. Underneath the car, the drive shaft between the t-case and the rear diff was dangling. The bearings at the u-joint on the rear diff side side just blew off! I was able to pull the shaft out of the slip-yolk on the t-case side. My XJ sits silently 13 miles from pavement, out in the woods. My hope is to grab parts, go out there, fix, drive out.

So, dear experts:

1) Is it cheaper to just buy a new shaft (what is the name of that specific shaft anyway)? If so, where does one buy this stuff? The major online retailers don't seem to have it. The alternative would be to get new bearings and take the whole thing to a shop to press them on.

2) There was some (like a quarter cup) red lubricant coming out of the t-case. My understanding is that the t-case oil is compartmentalized. I'm worried that the seal is broken and I'll cook the transfer case driving out of the woods. What is this stuff?

Any guidance is much appreciated. Thanks!

The red lube is ATF that is what is used for lube in your t case. They often leak without a drive shaft in. And when you say the bearings, do you mean the rear end bearings for the yolk , or the u joint? If it is just the u joint, then in do the 4 8mm bolts that hold the u joint to the yolk and take your drive shaft home and put in a new u joint and bolt her back in, make sure to use blue lock tire. And your food to go. If it is anything more than that, then you are out of my league.

I thought i saw some rubber cinch bones for tying two recovery straps together. I been googling for half our and cant findem. Any ideas??
