No coolant system in '88????

Unspooled my winch today. Its a RC 9500 synthetic. There were a couple spots where it looked like it was frayed slightly. Is this normal?

looks like its been rubbing on itself a little bit.
i guess when you said frayed i was thinkin more "cut"
i wouldn't imagine that bit to be an issue.
not a winch guy but i do know ropes and rigging.
how long has it been in service?

What other front ds can be used in the rear of a 99 xj with a sye and a 8.25? My stock front is just a little long for my liking in the rear, not enough slip.

Just got a set of 235's on some 15x8's. It looks awesome, but I know I need new leafs and was thinking about just going with a lift instead. My question is, how high do you think I could go with out looking like a fool. I know they aren't the biggest tires and I just don't want to be "that guy".

I have street tire 235's on my 3" lift. It doesn't look "bad" I actually think it still looks pretty aggressive over stock. What is the backspacing on the wheels? A 2" bb would probably be perfect. I drove it like that for 8 months, and now I'm waiting for my 31's to arrive.

Yeah u really have to wonder what the qualifications are to work at a parts store. Apparently having two arms and a working mouth is about it. They always act like they know more than u and if u question them, they get pissed. I've been asked to leave a few of them lol
