The heads and block of the HO and Renix are compatible and interchangeable but you have to keep the intakes and exhausts with the heads they came with.

Check your vacuum and make sure you don't have any leaks. Listen for hissing. The intake gasket may be leaking. The intake bolts could be loose also causing a vacuum leak.
Thanks for the reply. I understand what they did is a no no. Other than the problem i described the truck runs amazing. No leaks hisses or anything. I'm not amazing at diagnosing but to me it seems like the air isn't getting to the chambers quick enough, but that's why i wanted a second opinion. Thanks for the help. I guess i'll bust out the tb cleaner and spray everything to double check

Most of the stuff I have bought lately for my XJ AC has been Four Seasons brand.

If you use a site like Autozone.com you can look up the part and get the info needed to match it up on Amazon. Autozone.com gives a lot of specs and measurements ect. so you can use that info to lower the chance of getting a wrong part. I know how much is sucks to wait for a week or more to find out it's the wrong part. UGH!!!!
lol
I hope this helps. If you ever have questions about fitment or anything else on parts, let me know. I don't mind doing some research for you or directing you to a site that can help.
Thanks for the clarification, much appreciated!

This is my cat, and I had a lot of rattling underneath so I checked it out and found this silver thing on top of it. There was a matching one that was underneath but I took it off a while ago because it was about to fall off. Clearly it was my rattling problem because it wasn't held down at all. But I was going to ask if this is my heat shield?

So should I put it back on until I get a replacement?

And I can just buy a replacement heat shield correct?

I would yes. Maybe just tie it up there with a coat hanger or something temporarily.

And as for a replacement the ones on catalytic converters are usually welded to the body of the cat. I'm sure you could find a generic replacement shield though to just strap on.

Anybody else had this problem with their turn signals? I have a 2001 XJ sport. When I am driving and making a turn the blinker just turns off. Left and right turns while the switch is still engaged. It will blink 2 or 3 times then just stops. Or sometimes wont blink at all. Is this a relay or fuse or something? It was working fine for as long as I have had it. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

So then I would just have to buy the whole hub assembly then? That blows. I thought this would be easy and cheap. Thanks for quick answer N20

It's your flasher... It's basically a relay behind your dash on the left side.

They only adjust as you press the brake when you back up. Each time you do this, it should move the adjuster wheel slightly, spreading the shoes closer to the drum. Be careful, as pumping the brake too much while backing up can cause the shoes to become too close to the drums, and overheat or lockup while driving.
Read/look at this, as it will show you where the parts are, how to adjust, and how to replace if needed.>http://go.jeep-xj.info/HowtoRearDrums1.htm
