The special additive for the gear oil can be found at most part stores, though most synthetic gear lubes already have this included. 75W90 is fine for most applications, if you do a lot of heavy towing then 85W140 can be used

OK guys, so I am wanting to lift my XJ. If I went with this RC 3inch what else would I need to go with it? http://www.roughcountry.com/jeep_xj_3.html
Do I need adjustable track bars, or the SYE kit, or the transfer case drop bracket? I keep getting diff answers from people I know so maybe someone on here has a solid answer for me or is running the same kit. Thanks.

Are MJ and XJ leaf springs the same, length wise? I'm wondering if I could take the rear axle from an xj with leafs and install it on an mj? Also would shackle relocation kits, like rough country's work on an mj?

There is only one off the shelf option and that's from pacesetter......

As far as I know there are very limited options.I believe pacesetter makes one with a different downpipe so you would need to mod to for that and I also heard they are junk. Banks or Norplant used to make one I believe but it is no longer being produced. You could try eBay and see what you can find. What most people do is swap to a newer 91-97 ho head and minifold and then you have options of headers.

even though the price tag is tempting aal's are not the answer.
the kit doesn't offer longer brake lines, front sway bar discos, or track bar options.
the need for a sye kit is jeep by jeep but good rule of thumb is 3 inch and up will need it eventually, and a t-case drop kit is only a band-aid that robs ground clearance.
research everything...

If your rear leaf springs are sagging any, you may want to save up and get full leaf packs. I went add a leaf and I am very happy with it. Adjustable track bar or track bar relocation bracket, a t case drop will probably be fine, it may not even need a tcase drop or a sye, every jeep is different

Depends who you ask. Traditionally, I've heard people say:
CJ - Civilian Jeep
YJ - Yuppie Jeep
TJ - Toy Jeep
JK - Just Kidding (it isn't a real Jeep)
XJ - Xtreme Jeep
MJ - Monster Jeep

Realistically, it's just the system Jeep uses to designate their vehicles.
