Default High Idle

I had a similar problem with my 89. After it was warmed up it would idle at around 1500 rpm. I fixed every vaccum leak and replaced every sensor as well as the EGR. I finally took it to a shop where I knew they could diagnose it. Turns out the TPS needed adjusting, the butterfly valve in the intake needed to be cleaned and they also adjusted the throttle stop screw. Idles perfectly now. This was my issue but after spending about 6 months trying to figure it out I learned it could have been several other things. Vaccum leaks, TPS and the IAC valve. If this just started happening it could also be carbon build up in the intake where the IAC valve goes in. Good luck.

Thanks, and I think I found my problem. Bought a new tps, and went to go install it, and figured I'd take it out the iac to clean while I was at it. Pulled it out and it came out in half.... I'm uploading a picture of what it looks like, my question is if I can reassemble it if I can put it back in. And I can reassemble it, the peaces have threads on them and can be secured again (However the top cap part is not tightly secured, it still spins and rotates on the pin).. Or do I have to go get a new one? I'll be cleaning it in the mean time.

Can I fix this or am I now doomed to buy a new condenser? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Went wheeling today, hit a good dip got some air and hit pretty hard. Blew out a pro comp mono tube driver side shock and the back windshield is busted. As far as I know I don't see anything obviously messed up. I know I need to check the axels and the unibody and make sure they are straight, I just don't understand how I am to do so.

I know I need to get parked level and get a level but what do I measure? From where? And with the shock being out wont it make it unlevel when I try to measure it?

Grab the manual and measure just the body to make sure that's ok. Do a good visual all around her. Check for cracks by the rockers and check the frame rails underneath.

Quick question people. My main leaf sucks and is level. Wanna add a leaf under it for some support however don't have no pick n pulls here so I'm stuck getting full packs. My question is what a decent AAL for around 2yr use and is cheap in price. Id rather not use an AAL but chances are I'm not gonna get a hand on 2 extra mains to cut the eyes off

Edit: oh and I'm currently at a 2" budget boost and got longer shackles in the rear. I'm wiling to go up another inch or so in the rear but don't wanna worry about SyE etc yet. Thanks again

How much is a wilderness Garvin swing away tire carrier bumper with a brand new 33" tire on a d-Window wheel, with some surface rust be worth?

Depends on what the tire is and what the wheel is id say a cut the original price of the bumper in half and add the value of the tire if it's brand new.

Well I'm wondering if I should buy it. It's a big foot tire and the bumper is like 1174 new I think. He is asking 300 including the wheel/tire. It has some surface rust he says. Is that easy to fix? Just sand and paint?

Unhappy hid part?

[QUOTE=fantic238;518691]This thread is for all those who would like to ask something tech related and don't want to start a new thread or hijack someone elses, and for all those tech related questions you happen to ask in the big off topic threads. P.S. for the newbs: stupid questions don't exist, there are only stupid answers. Feel free to ask whatever you want. "What is a Jeep?" is a good question....

Finally got my jeep on the road, it's a 91 4x4 sport with the AW4. I was on my way home and gave a little more gas than I thought and the tires just spun like I was on sand. They have good tread. I was doing 25 or so through my neighborhood and stomped the pedal and the tires spun and chirped. So my question is, how do I tell if the tow package is after market or if it's regeared?
