I answered my own question about jeep rear air shocks for towing /hauling. I was having trouble finding long enough ones for a lift. After talking to all the parts store dummies about it and listing to their utterly stupid banter.....I called Monroe direct. I found a set that the guy crossed to the shocks I have now, around 24 " extended and 14 " compressed. They also came with a year warranty. I plan to hook them into my OBA so I can set them whenever wherever I may be. Then when I go wheeling ill probably just let them down to zero. They were the longest shock Monroe had, they worked for an mj with about 6" on it.

Torque from your driveshaft forces the pinion up and down causing your axle to "wrap" in a sense. Not good. Leads to broken parts.

Prolly best. But blocks aren't going to automatically make your rig self destruct as soon as you hit the trail like some people will lead you to believe. Ive known mud bogging guys that ran 10" lift blocks before. Not at all safe tho!

4" blocks? holy christ. You need to remove those man - extremely dangerous on these trucks (no traction bars). 1.5"-2" is bad, 4" is insane.

that's what i'd do - bastard pack and shackles in the rear and longer springs in the front (although those do not look like 4" spacers in the front, more like 2")

+1 on all this about the blocks

Bastard pack is basically adding another spring to give lift - also called Add-A-Leaf but generally a stock spring from a junkyard donor
