Battery's (even 3 month old ones) can be defective. My suggestion is take it to a auto parts store to test it, if it's to dead to test, let em do an over night float charge. The next day they will tell you if it's good or not. If it's bad since it's so new take it back for a refund. This same thing happened on my 5 month old battery and it was bad.

Alright guys so I am looking for some advice. I have a 97 cherokee. A few weeks ago I pulled up the carpet a lil bit to run some wires, well when I did this I found that the pad underneith was soaked and there was water sitting in the groves; Right hand side only. So my carpet was dirty and it is a lil rusty under it so I pulled it to clean it and clean up the rust. Well I thought the water was just from leaving the window down, snow in the winter, spilt beer, etc..Today it rained a bit and I pulled her in the garage after awhile to do some work on it and there was water on the floor again. So it is leaking somewhere and on the right hand side only. It does not apear to be the door seals. So windsheild? Anyone have any ideas or had this happen? I would like to find it and stop it from leaking, Thanks!

Ok im stumped. 88 comanche with 94 motor running factory intake and injectors. I bought a complete ho intake and have figure out everything but one for the swap. I want to upgrade the injectors....ho motors factory have higher rate injectors than renixs do at same psi?.... so should i get ford 19# (renix size) or ford 21# (ho size)(not easy to find cheap)????? Please help

Possible Head Work
Hello all,
I have a 99 Cherokee classic I6. The jeep has 230,000 on it and has run fantastic since. Well, one fine day I had an issue; bear with me as I am not a mechanic, however, have friends and my brother(used to custom build motors) that verified the same odd issue. I apologize for the long post, however want to be as thorough as possible.
1) Cylinder 3 fuel injector error(code)
2) Cylinder 3 misfire (code)
3) White smoke that smells of fuel and not of coolant(sweet)
4) Oil leaking onto exhaust manifold causing smoke in engine bay
5) Oil pressure seems higher, however, no oil in coolant or vice versa.(possible steam building crankcase pressure to push oil.)
The smoke can explain the fouled plug I found, however it looked like gasket material. I performed a compression test and found(approx):
Cyl 1: 110
Cyl 2: 130
Cyl 3: 130
Cyl 4: 140
Cyl 5: 130
Cyl 6: 130
It seems as though cylinder 1 has the lowest compression, so I moved to a leak down test. Cyl 1 seemed good, however, 2 & 3 were the only two that seemed to have loss in the intake manifold, observant after opening the throttle body. Luckily the air hiss didn't seem to change when plugging the crankcase oil stick. However, at this point, even after slightly turning the crankshaft either way to ensure full seal, it came from both the valve cover and intake. At this point(I also skipped the following cylinders now), I presume bad valve seats(also no bubbling in coolant or noise at tailpipe.) I may just remove the head, however, it seems the computer gave misdirection of the issue. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
When I drove the vehicle a small distance the smoke dissipated, however when at idle just an hour later it came back, I assume due to the thermostat now opening and allowing flow. Has anyone seen anything similar? I am just hoping the lower end i.e., the rings are not shot.
(I am going to remove the head, but if I can receive any tips that would be great!)
Thanks,
Mike
