I have a 2000 Cherokee Sport and the front speakers in the doors are not functional. What should I do?

Your speaker wires were probably severed in the door's dust boot. It's a very common problem, and you simply have to patch the speaker wire between the kick panel and the door speaker.

Just replace the whole sound system and add amps and subs. It will only cost like $10 total

So every once in a while, on the passenger and driver side fronts there will be a little puddle of water (I have the carpets out right now), Obviously I am not in the Jeep when the water comes in so I can't pin point it. Any thoughts? I would really like to get the jeep water tight as possible. Let me know what you guys think.

Default RE: Poor Starting, Runs Rough at first

Killerb6--

Check all your vacuum lines, make sure none are cracked, leaking, disconnected, etc. My '95 XJ (4.0 NP231, AW-4) had very similar symptoms to those that you describe. It was driving me crazy until a friend of mine noticed that a vacuum line was cracked at a connection and it was sucking air. I cut the cracked part off the end of the line with a pocketkmife, plugged it back in, and "Presto!" --all symptoms disappeared.

"Start with the simple stuff first: fuel, air, spark."

Default Water Leak, Front Passenger Side Floor

cgmitche--

I have the exact same problem, and it's intermittent. The carpets on the passenger side floor pan will be soaking wet, the rest of the floor bone dry. WTF? I checked door gasket, windshield rubber, heater core, heater hoses, etc. It doesn't happen when I'm in the truck, only when it is raining and I'm not in the vehicle.

I'm going to pull the carpets, drill a couple of drain holes and shoot undercoating on the floor.

Default Replacing Upper Control Arms

Quick question. Would I be able to replace the upper control arms without affecting the position of the axle? I'm lifted 4 inches so I will be doing it with the wheels on the ground. And obviously I'll be doing the arms one at a time. My plan is to take out the passenger side UCA, put in a new one, tighten it up, take out the driver side UCA, put in the new one and tighten it up. Once again, tires will be on the ground the entire time so I wouldn't need an alignment afterwards would I?

Nope, crazy no? the passenger side had one little rust spot, but when I pulled the carpet there was a red stain on the carpet, like previous owners fruit punch or red gatoraid.

Just really bugs me that it happens when I can't see it.

nope just make sure the new UCAs are the same length as the stock ones before you swap them out.
