hey guys, i found a 1982 F250 4wd truck being parted out with locking hubs in the front, bot, through research on here in the axle info thread, i think it has the dana 60 in the back, i was wondering what would be up front? it didn't appear to have that info in the axle thread, is that because for that year the front is less desirable? i am considering a fullwidth swap and am in the (quite long) research phase.

Horn contact ring
Hey, i recently bought an 88 cherokee, and the guy i bought it from told me that he had taken a coper piece out of the steering column that completed the horn contact. He still had the part, and gave it to me with instructions on how to put it back in.
I took the steering column apart, and found where i was supposed to put it. I put it in, and put everything back together and the horn still didn't work.
So i took it apart again and investigated. I found that there was a contact ring that touched the coper piece i had just put in. But there was a place in this ring part that needed another coper piece, so i found something to complete the circuit and put it in. However, that contact ring was cracked in one spot, but hadn't caused any problems before, but when i put the spring in where it should have gone, it pushed the contact ring apart. I thought i had gotten it flat enough to be fine, but when i put it back together, when i turned the steering wheel, it started grinding, and that contact ring got buggered up and now makes it really hard to steer, and the horn doesn't work.
Does anyone know where i'm talking about, what that part is, and if the part is the same in the 88 as in any other models. I looked at some 90's, but the steering column looked alot different, and more advanced, and i don't know if it would be the same.
If anyone can help me with this that would be awesome. thank you!

2001 WJ Cruise Control Problems
Hi guys, could not find info on this one in here so here is the issue. Everytime after it rains & the Jeep is parked, if I go for a drive somewhere & try to use the cruise it will not come on. I hit the "On" on the steering wheel & nothing, not even the Cruise light comes on in the cluster.
But later, say 20 miles it just pops on. Then when I try to "Enguage" again nothing. Sometimes it will engauge by itself 5-10 min later. I assume I am getting moisture somewhere in the electrical sytem for it but have no clue as to where to start looking.
I know its not an XJ but it has the 4.0 liter & it is a JEEP (Thank God). Hope someone can help on this.

headlight issues
Went out to my 91 cherokee friday night and went to turn on the lights. Marker lights work, headlights don't. Regardless of how I change the high/low switch the high beam indicator stays on. If I turn the lights off and hit the high/low as if I was trying to flash the lights the high beam indicator turns on/off as usual. Any ideas? I checked fuses but am wondering if it sounds like the headlight switch or if it's time to start chasing down a ground fault. Figured I'd see if anyone else has had this problem. Thanks

So I went to hit my brakes n the radio turns off sometimes when I hit them, then all my gauges stopped working then came back on, also my lights started freaking out when the gauges did that n my Jeep died then all started working again, any ideas? This just randomly happend the other day for the first time after installing some kc lights which I did correctly, I did ground some reverse lights to my rear bumper mount though, could that be it?
