So, I used to have a Dana 35 with abs. I did a chryco 29 spine rear axle swap. I now do not have abs. I've removed a couple fuses to disable the abs pump. My question is, how do I remove the actual abs pump itself? At the moment its just dead weight and also in the way of the cowl intake mod I wanna do. Any help? Thanks in advance.

One more quick question for me. What are the other breather points on the bottom of an 01. Meaning, the front diff vents to the engine bay. What about the TC, Xmission, and rear diff. How do those vent?

SORRY if I missed it but what kinda high temps are we dealing with?
4 months later I took possession of it and changed out the water pump and t-stat.
Around town it did ok, no issues. Hottest I had seen it was 212. I drove it up north and after a long incline up the mountain it hit about 214 then immedietly jumped to all the way into the red. I pulled over it pucked a bit, but no leaks anywhere. Let it cool off and I was fine the rest of the trip. Had to drive home with heater, but only cause of an accident and slow crawling traffic and I was nervous about it.
Sorry for the long story, but figured I might as well tell as much as I could about it. I got the parts today to replace that freeze plug, flush kit, and new coolant. I figure it couldn't hurt since there was a ton of rust that came out when my sister tried to kill it. Used a bucket to try and keep as much coolant off my garage floor as possible and the bottom of the one gallon bucket had about half an inch of rust and crap in it.
Anyway, again sorry for the long story and Thanks for your help. I don't drive much, but my test drive after the fan and shroud replacement around town it hit 214 again, that was a little over a week ago at about 109 degrees outside.

No problems with the long story at all.
Your sis really put that XJ through the ringer! Sounds like maybe there's an internal engine/head flow restriction. When you drove with the heater on was it blowing hot air. Sounds like your on the right track with the flush. Do the BEST you can but be aware that some of that debris has gotten into your new components and may not come out just by flushing.
GOOD LUCK

So lately I've had to mash the gas to get the XJ to start. I'm having a higher than usual idle, slightly rough too. Occasionally while driving, mostly after a slow down before a turn and I give her gas to make the turn and she stalls on me. Then I pull over and have to mash the gas again, to get her to start and she Idles fine but then stalls again when I put it in gear. I usually have to do this 3 or 4 times before she doesn't stall going into gear. I just replaced the tps. Any ideas??
