I pulled errors PO 135,141,155,161 and 158. Changed all four, yes you have four, O2 sensors and both relays. Still got A PO135 and 141 errors.
I would love to put a header on too but how would you hookup the four O2 sensors to pass smog.... I do live in CA.
Let me know if you find anything out.

Have an auto parts store clear the codes for you and see if they come back. I had the same experience you have. After they cleared the codes, they never came back. For some reason they were staying in the computer.

Default question bout keeyless entry

would my 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport come with a keyless entry? the guy i bought it from didnt give me a remote but i didnt ask him... the jeep has no console on the ceiling like where it would say the temp, gas milage etc. just wondering i heard that the sensor is inside the light thingy above the center console.

OOPS I forgot to mention that I have a code reader I got from Auto Zone and I clear the codes every time I do a "fix."

I swapped the relays, moving one to the other and visa versa, cleared the codes, then after diving a few miles CEL came back on so I checked the codes again and got PO 135, 141, 155, and 161. It was just PO 135 and 141 beforre the relay swap. Whats going on?

Now I have cleared the codes and swapped back the relays and I am going to see what fun that will bring.

This is driving me crazy! Any help is appreciated.

Next thing will be " FOR SALE 2000 BLUE CHEROKEE"

What do you think of getting this 1310 CV Driveshaft rather than getting the slip yoke eliminate and new driveshaft. The company said to me it works to eliminate drive angles. Just like the SYE and CV driveshaft would. I'm honesty considering it but what do YOU ALL think?

Check out this item I found on eBay:

JEEP CHEROKEE 1310 SLIP YOKE CV DRIVESHAFT XJ SYE NP242

I think its a good option, still nowhere near as good as a full-blow SYE kit.

I have a 1998 xj and the battery was draining over night and we found out that something was messed up with the ignition switch so we got a new ignition switch and when we were installing it a piece from the rod going into the ignition switch (its a plastic and metal piece between the lock cylinder and ignition switch) broke off and we cant find the part and dont want to buy a new steering column from a junk yard. What is the part and where can I find it?

first you go to user cp, then pictures, then upload pictures. upload your pictures, then go into them and get the URL (should have a box labeled URL at the bottom of the page under the picture). then when you are making a thread or post click on the button that has a mountain and moon on it and copy and paste the URL into it. (copy it before)

seems to be one of the xj's random wires that lead to nothing. Have no idea what it leads to, but there MANY of those coming off my harness....but of course by observation i've found that my engine isnt the original engine...so i may be abnormal.

Default '87 in-line six overheated and junk leaked out spark plug

I overheated my 4.0L and in the process of replacing the thermostat and water pump, noticed that cylinder one had this weird black plastic around the spark plug. What is this likely to be, and what do I likely need to do to remedy it? Thanks in advance!
