As far as BS goes. Its only a 1/4" difference. And 3.75 is enough for 10.50s. So go for what YOU like.

Those look good. The stock photo of the wheels make em look a lot different.

I had to buy the computer from a salvage yard and the pigtails.
things u need for this swap are

aw4 transmission
computer and wiring harness
shift cable and kickdown cable
shifter from a cherokee but i believe you could use ur current shifter
you need a shifter plate from a zj with the aw4 cause a cherokee one won't fit its to small
flex plate and torque converter for the aw4
bell housing bolts are need as well and the transmission lines from a cherokee help as well

So you need to unplug everything from the transmission and remove it blah blah blah if u can't pull the trans and install the aw4 then u shouldn't be doing this swap.
so transmissions swapped and installed you need to build your wiring harnesses unless u got everything from your donor vehicle.
so if ur building your harnessess you need wiring diagrams. you can go to stu olsens offroad website to get the info you need there for building your harness and get factory diagrams for your donor transmission and your vehicle your swapping into.
Sounds like it'd be easier to replace yours.

Default a/c pulley clutch coil

Hi Everyone,
New to the forum, hope I posted this in the right place.
I have a 1996 Cherokee SE and a 2000 Cherokee Sport. I wanted to swap the air conditioning clutches, but the 1996 has the two a/c coil attaching wires at the 9 o'clock position and the 2000 has them at 2 o'clock. Does this make any difference? If so is there a way to do this anyway. Both compressors are sanden 709.
Thanks.

the ujoints can be pulled and replaced with a basic tool set on these trucks.

Take the wheel off, remove the hub nut behind the retainer (36mm socket required), remove the caliper, remove the brake disk, unbolt the hub retaining bolts, remove the hub (cold chisel and a BFH is your friend), and pull the shaft.

Then you can replace the joint using a bench vice or ball joint service kit with a c-clamp. The axle joints use c-clips on the inside of the yoke, just tap them out with a hammer and screwdriver/punch. Then you can press the joints out of the caps. Install is the reverse of removal. Put the new u-joint in the freezer for a couple hours to aid in the install.

Good write-up: http://www.myjeepxj.com/index.php?pa...nt-replacement

To add to what Dukie said, the tools that you may not have autozone will lend to you for free. You may have to front the money as a deposit but will get it back when you return their gear. When I did mine (same exact joint you are talking about) I rented the 36mm socket and ball joint press from autozone. Also, you said you can't see any retaining clips. Until I took it out I couldn't see any either. But when you get it out and can look at everything you will see them. Personally I thought the hardest part of the installation was removing the old retaining clips and pressing out the old joint. But then again I'm sure I was workig with the stock joints. If your xj is younger it may not be as bad down there.

I need to replace the heater hose from the valve to the fixed fitting near the front... whats the best way to do this without losing a lot of coolant?

Probly loosen on end, have hose pre cut. Take one end of hose off then hook the new up. After that quickly remove the other end and hook it up fast without letting too much coolant drain out.....
