hey quick ? i just got my build sheet back from jeep and i have a 96 with an 8.25 rear but when i got my build sheet back i found that mine must have been a crossover to the 97s because i have the high output badge but my build sheet says powertech i6 so i think my jeep was built in late 96 which leads me to believe i got a good chance of a 8.25 with 29 spline axles! but here is my ? anyone else have a simmilar situation

I thought they went to H.O in 91? Go to the sequential XJ thread and put in your vin to see if you were a late model 96...

He said replace it with a 29 because it's bolt-in. An 8.8 is an obvious upgrade, but it requires fab.
EDIT: Nevermind, it was you that said it lol

So last weekend I went and picked up a new lower dash from the jy, in perfect condition, and I thought since I took my doors off I would mount the door speakers in the dash, wrong. I hacked the dash up, mounted the speakers in the spots where it looks like there should be speaker and they don't fit when I try to mount it. the magnets hit the metal bracket holding up the entire dash. Anyone who has put speakers here, were they stock size door speakers? And how did you mount them?
