Gidday Low Profile,
I've decided to fabricate a bracket myself thanks...I live in a small city called New Plymouth , in the province of Taranaki, in New Zealand. So I think we're a little way from each other unless your Jeep has the unique advantage of being amphibious! ha ha !
Cheers

question: My 1996 jeep Cherokee is having an issue with overheating. the kicker it only happens at idle, usually after 2 mins or so, red light, traffic or just sitting in driveway, otherwise doesn't over heat. im thinking water pump or thermo, any ideas ? jeep had 130,000 original miles and i believe thermo has been re placed before, cant remember about water pump. thanks in advance.

Default Speaker issues

In my 2000 cherokee sport the front passenger side speak will not work. i have tried putting a new speaker in and changing the stereo it self. would this problem be faulty wiring.

Is it the door speaker or the one in the dash?

Yes its the faulty wiring from speaker to kick panel...they get worn from opening and closing the door

Check & see if your electric fan is kicking on.... To check it w/o letting it overheat turn the ac on & it should come right on

This is what I get when I tested my jeep with the carMD. It's still problematic. My jeep will start right off at times other times it takes three hours to start. I still can't figure it out. I get spark so that's not the problem and I have zero fuel problems as well. It will turn over all day long, but it will only start when it wants to. I just changed the ignition coil and it did not help.

Sounds like your TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) My jeep had a similar problem. Actually I meant the Crankshaft position sensor! Not throttle lol I'm sorry!

my trans is leaking pretty bad, and it takes a bit to shift when it gets low but at that point i pull over an add more
Am I doing serious damage to my trans?

It can't be good, just fix the leak.

Run engine, get up to operating temp. Grab all coolant hoses, they should all feel the same temp. If not bad t stat. Check water pump weep hole. Take rolled up newspaper stick it in clutch fan while engine running. If you stop it bad clutch fan. Could ber temp sensor. Or freeze plugs

Oil pressure question - started my 94 xj up oil pressure was just over 40 usualy just above 20 at idle.

When applying throttle oil pressure stays the same just above 40 where it normally is when applying throttle

Anyone have any ideas
