This is also true, thanks for posting that

New to this site (and computers really). Not sure if this is where I can ask questions or not. Help and guidance would be much appreciated. Problem is (among other things) I'm using an "Auto Xray ez read 2000" and getting code 54 which states 'no fuel sync or high data rate signal detected during engine rotation" which does not match what I've seen in other code lists which say "camshaft sync/distributor". What gives? I'm in a major bind and need serious help, please. Thank you in advance, usssanjacinto.

Year and model of jeep would help.

What about slipping the belt off and heating the clutch with a torch? Grab the pulley and try to spin the blades. Should be much faster.

I have the heavy duty fan clutch from the 2.5L (or ZJ) and it only moves a couple of inches when spinning it by hand.

Or if you have remote start you dont need to have someone turn the key off.. I check mine with remote start after jeep is up to temp

I think I worded the "should be much faster" part poorly. It should be very hard to spin, I meant it should be faster than waiting for the engine to hit operating temp.

My a/c compressor in my 1988 Cherokee 4.0 keeps disengaging while driving. It will start to blow warm, I'll turn it off, a half mile later turn it back on an ad it starts blowing cold again. What could it be?
