People being technically correct without being helpful. What you call a kickdown cable mostly gets called the "TV cable". The FSM refers calls it "Transmission Throttle Valve Cable". It runs to the transmission to assist shifting.

Even tried pulling plugs thinking it was a valve leaking compression, same results. Engine runs great, oil pressure good, compression tests good, no ticks when running, only ticks after shut off. Anyone heard of this? My best guess is a lifter? What should I do? Thanks for your opinion in advance.

Mine does the exact same thing and it drives me crazy. I'm not sure what it is though. I figured lifters also.

Are you low on coolant? Was just reading the other day that engines will do this if they are low on coolant

Default HELP :C :C

I have a 1989 jeep Cherokee 6 cyl 2wd and its been having some problems for quite some time it seems like the o rings keep going bad in the fuel rail where the fuel line connects to it the clip is brand new but i'm ALWAYS having to replace the o rings sometimes if i push against the fuel line while having someone turn it on it starts right up. Am I getting the wrong o rings? Do my injectors need cleaned? Is it the fuel rail? PLEASE HELP been having this problem for MONTHS.

Are you sure your getting fuel rated o rings. Standard o rings will erode from fuel
