How does one remove the crossbars from the roof rack?
When I did a search there was reference to a thumb screw but my 2001 doesn't have one.
I think that you loosen the tracks at one end or the other and then slide them off but I figure I would ask the knowledgable people here before I go off and screw them up.
I don't use them and have found that they are a source of a thruming noise on the highway. I had put them both all the way back and that created the loudest and weirdest wave type sound, moving one to the front greatly reduced the noise but I figure that removing them completely will reduce the noise the most.

On my '91, I just released the tab and slid them out from the front.

Is that the push button tab on the outside used to adjust them?
Thanks!

Default idle bogs down and returns to normal idle

I start my car up it runs fine, but about 30 seconds into running it bogs down to about 200-300 rpm and then jumps right back up and idles fine...I've also noticed my gas mileage has gown down, What would cause this to happen...I've heard many scenarios and I would like a good starting point before I begin to tear it apart and not find anything...
