Does anyone have that picture of the front end steering components that has all the names for each component outlined or labeled? If someone has it can the post it or pm me please. Looking at replacing parts but the names and descriptions online are kinda confusing.

Found it. But id still like some info on the Tie rod and such. What is the difference from all the ends? Online i find tie rod left tie rod right. Im trying to set my alignment myself and i would like to replace some worn components while i do it.
Before you got too far into the rewiring thing do this first to be sure what caused the initial short. I had a similar problem in my 91. In the engine compartment, undo the back side of your fuse block. It will be under the brake booster. One bolt holds it together. Once freed, turn it over and look for corrosion on the block. if there is, fix that first. On mine, it was the primary power wire that goes thru the block and into the headlight switch. I removed the wire from the block and direct wired it thru the firewall and into the same wire on the opposite side. Wire a 30 amp fuse into that circuit. My 91 had the same problem and several other demons that completely vanished when I was done.
Unless you are practiced in using alignment plates and string, do do it yourself. Your tierod ends will sell kind of like a set. There will be three ends and an end on a draglink. Do your self a favor and save the migaine for later, take your ride to sears after you install the ends and let the do the work. It is $80 bucks well spent.
Check the hanes small manual. there is a good labled picture in there.

My local big o tires will do it all for $50 but like i said i only need toe adjusted.
