Oil leak from the Oil filter... Not the adapter piece but its running down the filter and dripping from the back. Does this with every filter ive had one there. Over-tightening maybe? I mean im not the hulk but its on there lol and i made sure the old o ring came off when i changed the filter... The one i have on now is a purolator, and next change will be oversized WIX

This shop takes my engine out, completly rebuilds it with a full new rebuild kit and offers a free 3 year /36mile parts and labor warranty on it.

Its the only local place i found for a replacment under 2k installed. I dont have time to do all the worl myself or i would.

I want to put a new muffler on my Xj. I was wanting it to be loud and sound good. Any ideas on to what I should put on?

Really depends how loud you can stand and what "Good" is. You want rice? Resonator? Open headers? Do you live in an urban area where the neighbors are going to call the cops for noise?

If you want loud, go with a flowmaster super 40 Listen to different mufflers on youtube on cherokees is my suggestion.

I have 99 xj 4.0 l and have had some on going electrical/starting problems.
Approx two years ago replaced starter. Ran fine for a while. In past year I have had problems starting at times. Ex. Weak start, tested battery all was good. However if I gave the vehicle gas it would fire right up. It would not however keep its idle at about 1000 rpms. Unless I held the gas there for sometimes a few minutes and sometimes a few miles. This problem would only occur sometimes. Mostly during extreme cold or if I let vehicle sit for some time. This summer it got to the point where it completley died. I tested battery, and all was good. There was however a lot of corrosion on terminal heads . Cleaned them up and replaced both battery lines, also inserted felt below and put vasolene on terminal ends. Ran fine for three months. Now I am back to square one. Wont start, no power inside, i.e. lights, power windows nothing. Not sure where to go from here and I want to make sure I get it right this time to stop these electrical problems I've been having. Wondering if anyone has any ideas of what to test/do about this.

Exclamation 87 jeep

hey guys i have a 87 jeep Cherokee Laredo 4.0 and it stumbles on acceleration and over all has no power. I have replaced tps sensor adjusted it a few times next time starting it same thing has no power on take off. Also tested fuel pressure 34 psi around 40 with vacuum disconnected got fairly new injectors M.A.P sensor checks out ok throttle body fairly clean new 02 sensor any help is appreciated i need to smog this thing asap

do u know which wire is the hot wire directly the fuel pump on an 1989 cherokee?

Put a rubber pad under the battery if there already isn't one. Having your battery sit on metal will mess it up. My dads truck didn't have a rubber pad and he was having the same issues and eventually it would blow his spark plugs! Spent hundreds trying to fix it and then an old guy told him about the rubber and its been fine ever since

Not going to lie.... Dumbest thing I have ever heard hands down.
The battery is not effecting his idle
Metal does not effect the life of a battery. Concrete does.
A battery will not effect spark plugs or cause them to "blow" out.

Check the cables them selfs. If they got corrosion inside the cable it can cause a no power situation.
