Metal does not effect the life of a battery. Concrete does.
A battery will not effect spark plugs or cause them to "blow" out.

Seriously though. My dads was (and still is) having issues, a series of them I think. Anyways, at one point it was in the shop. The guys there had put a piece of rubber on top of the battery because it was touching the roof across the terminals. They thought it might be draining his battery, but if nothing else wasn't good. You could see where it wore off the paint.
Probably not relevant but I had to say it.
I got a question though. I'm pretty sure I have a 16 gallon tank. I've seen a 20 gallon tank on summit racing.com, but it only says up to 92. I have a 99 I know that the filter, regulator, and what not is in that little magic box back there. But it looks like the same tank in my 91. Anyone know about fuel tank swap ability? I wouldn't mind stopping less on road trips.

I ran a 6g wire beside my windshield under the seal to the roof for my lights. Then i just spliced off of that to the lights. Very simple and it works. No drilling required.

Just needing to take the flexplate off the replacement engine I have in the garage, so that I can get it on the stand. Obviously if I try to loosen the 5 bolts, the crank starts to turn. I was thinking of having someone stand on the other end of the engine, with a ratchet on the harmonic balancer bolt, but I feel like that would loosen before these 5 flexplate bolts. Any other ideas?
Thanks

put a rubber pad under the battery if there already isn't one. Having your battery sit on metal will mess it up. My dads truck didn't have a rubber pad and he was having the same issues and eventually it would blow his spark plugs! Spent hundreds trying to fix it and then an old guy told him about the rubber and its been fine ever since
I love it!
