Don't procrastinate on those flexplate bolts. Just flat do them.
That 44K only needs to be done once a year. Extremely effective.
As for the plugs, I don't see the logic in keeping things inside my engine that have already proven to throw chunks of porcelain in to it. For $12? Not me.

Spark Plugs 101
Et Al,
Here's a good article about spark plugs. It's worth the read.
Note that the author likes NGK V-Power plugs.

And for ye of little faith...the NGK spark plug tech site.

If it makes you feel better, I will go to NAPA and pick up the NGKs. I simply wanted to give it time to see if the plug itself was foul off the line, from the factory. It is a Champion copper plug, which is suppose to be a stock plug. For what reason would it be unable to tolerate the environment of the i6, unless their manufacturing specs have changed?

As in China?
I'm gonna feel fine. Don't worry about me. I've already got NGKs in al my Jeeps.

I'll do the plugs this weekend and give an update if anything has changed, or possibly improved. I'll see where I can pick up the BG 44k, maybe VIP. The only Euro dealers in my area is Kia/Hyundai.

They have bad manufacturing runs as any industry will from time to time. It happens. Chances are all 6 of your plugs are from the same lot, if one failed it would be prudent (IMHO) to replace them all considering how little they cost.

Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get me!
Side note; if you see something "factory refurbished", that might have actually been checked. (as opposed to the one / in a hundred that came off the line)
