For the guys with the older XJs. How do you remove your gauge needles without breaking them? I kinda messed up last night and now most of my gauges don't work lol. I'm buying a new cluster and I want to do the LEDs, which I'll do before I put it in. And is there a way to power the cluster before I put it in? To test the lights?

Pardon my language but I messed my cluster up due to not being fully informed. Knowledge is power! thanks for that! I was worried of ripping some wires if I fully removed it. I feel a lot more confident now ordering my new cluster.
So I know for future reference. How is the removal of the entire cluster? Do I need to tug on it? Be extra careful somewhere?
Cheers!

I wish I would have gone with white, that looks real nice!!!
Here's mine. The red looks nice, but keep in mind, it seems very dull, which for me, I like. Seems like it's going to be a lot easier on the eyes than a blue might be. Mine is a 1990 Cherokee Laredo. Took x9 in the cluster of the 194s, kept the 3 original white ones in for the turn signals and high beams. Have not done the shifters yet seeing as how I ran out of LEDs. Will have to order more from Amazon. Less than $10 shipped for x10 of the reds. Sorry for the blurriness...
