I will make a video of the noise after I can get some coolant flowing thru the motor, for now I am not running it anymore.
I've always done an old-school trick when I do my oil changes.
Dump a quart of trans fluid into it, and run the **** out of it for a little while to get it nice and hot, then go on with your oil change....

Don't EVER use those pour in engine flush treatments they sell, those things will give you more problems than anything.

1.It will act like an engine flush without all the bad side effects (read: no gasket deterioration)
2.I usually put it in, then take a run to the parts store for the oil, filter and Lucas.
3.Yes, but for the 15-20 mins its actually gonna be run thru the engine it really won't hurt a thing.

that's a new one to me too, but I think I will test it out. If it frees up the lifter(s) that are stuck it saves me a lot of time/money. I have a cylinder head lined up, but I admit that I really would rather not pull the head if I dont have to.

I just ran out for some groceries in my car, some of the back roads are badly flooded. Be careful out there.

The front speakers sound great, can't wait to get the rears in too. It's funny to see the little grille on the door panel vibrate with the music!

If anyone knows of a set of clean xj doors locally let me know please, I want all 4.

Several years ago my friends folks had a 92 cherokee that was gorgeous. It was a dark blue metallic color with tan leather and a bunch of nice options. My friend and I took it upon ourselves to see what it could do in the snow and I will never forget those rides. I have wanted one ever since, and now that I have one I got cheap I want to make it nice too.

The body of the truck is clean but the doors are showing some surface rust around the handles, and the drivers vent window is leaking water inside, I can't have that. I will be replacing all four doors. I expect to find some rotten floor areas and some surprise cancer too.

Some of the others I had seen had rust eating away the whole rocker and lower fenders, so I think I did good.

anyone know if 97-up xj doors fit and bolt right up?
