Default Xj won’t start

98 xj with 92 motor won’t turn over. Already checked the battery just need other people’s opinion on what to look at

throw us some clues...

any clicking of relays ?

move the auto lever thru range whole cranking..if it is an auto?

check whether you have 12V at the Starter and Solenoid lugs with ignition in "run" postion

check all battery cables,terminals and main earths

Do you have power anywhere? Starter? Grounds?

Cruiser54 has a website. He's a moderator on this site. Look at his tips and tricks... this vehicle is heavily dependent on clean wires. Usually doesn't cost anything but time and effort.

Lets start with the basics. Your title says it won't start. Your post says it won't turn over. Those are two very different things. Which is it?

"Turn over" means just that. The starter spins the engine. It does not mean "start". If there is no fuel or no spark you can turn that engine over all day and it will not start.

So tell us what is happening with the correct terminology and we can point you in the correct direction.
