So when most of us got to that end of the busy and hit the logging road, we sat there for a few minutes to see what was going on. Buck and Rossi immediately volunteered to head back and see what the deal was with Brandon, wade, and the wrangler. The rest of us and "jeep unit" sat there for about 30-45 minutes to wait it out and see how things went. We eventually decided that we should head back and get the kids settled in. That's when I had to get friggin food, my dumb *** hadn't eaten since the morning and we were already coming up on midnight. It was after I ate, that eric and I decided to head back and see what was going on. Jason had actually stayed at the trailhead the whole time waiting for everyone to get out of the busy. Rossi finally got Brandon's jeep out just after 1am. Thanks for everyone's patience, things definitely could have gone better at the end of the trail tho. The only person who ha actually run the busy before was buck, even I was running blind on the trail

Correction I was hung up on the Busy stuck behind a broken Jeep. A little more winch usage and a little less skinny pedal usage could have avoided that whole thing.

Jason, Chris and I went back in the morning and ran the entire Busy Wild, including the part past the logging road where we all came out that night, in an hour and a half. We just took our time and tried 3-4 lines at every hard part. then, pulled out the hook. We did the whole thing and I only winched 4 times. 2 of the times I could have taken by-passes to prevent winch use but hey what's the fun in that...LOL!! The only damage was a few more Busy Wild door dents. That trail is really amazing. It is always fun. Never disappoints. It was fun in the dark but, MUCH more fun in the daylight. Makes the parts that require technical wheeling a little easier. i can't wait to run it next time!!

Yeah, it's pretty hard to run a slow controlled tow operation through that hardcore trail. It would have been much easier on your jeep if you would been able to just use your own winch at all the spots that stopped you. The good news is you learned a lot from this situation and it sounds like you are already making plans to do things differently and make your Jeep better and stronger.

After watching the Jeep Unit guys cruise through there like they did...it makes me REALLY want to get 35s or 36s put on my Jeep. Hopefully sometime this summer.

yep i everything gonna get built bigger an stronger so ill know it will be stout and my wench started smoking and stopped working and this was pretty much the first weekend i used it other wise i woulda kept wenching my self out of the trail to try and not hold everyone back

Well, even if you had been able to winch yourself out the whole way it would have been slow. I would have come back into that trail to make sure everybody got out okay. I can't speak for Rossi but I'm sure he would have gone back in reguardless, too, so long as there were guys who still hadn't made it out. That is a cold, dark, wet, place to be stuck all by yourself. Jeff can get a little heavy on the go pedal but, the alternative would have been much worse. You would have been stuck on that bridge and that is all the further you would have gotten on your own.

The rest of the trail was fun. I only winched one time in that part and that was because I took a harder line where there was an easier bypass and I got high centered on a big stump. There were a couple of pretty steep hill climbs...VERY FUN!! That part went on for about another couple miles. Sorry you guys missed that part of the trail but, I'm pretty sure that when we hit that logging road everybody was pretty much done for the night.

I think the carnage trophy of the weekend goes to cherokeewheelin73! Hes a savage and that rear axle looks sick buddy! We knew you were in good hands when we decided to head for camp but we all stayed awake just in case until we heard you and your jeep were off the trail. Was a good time and I would wheel with any of you again in a heart beat.
Sometime this summer we need to get some people over here to the rimrock area and show you what we have!
