So, i am trying to find a ford 8.8 for my cherokee, i am not having much luck with junk yards around the olympia/ft lewis area, can anyone help me out?

Lynnwood PAP had a ton last I checked. I saw 3 8.8s with disc complete about two weeks ago.

Thanks, what should i be asking when i call into those place to ensure they have them before i make the trip to pick them? Maybe i am asking the wrong thing?

Hey I have a friend of mine that pulled one out of an exploder thats a lincoln locker here in Olympia he just posted it on CL.

pick-a-part by the oly airport, or I-5 auto in chahalis area

I hate to ruin someone elses sale...but IMO, $350 is WAY over priced for any 8.8 that isn't "built" right now. I paid $350 for my 8.8 with an LSD (I changed gears but I think they were 4.11 stock) last winter, and this was when 8.8s were harder to find. Right now you can travel an hour to any number of junkyards and I'm sure you can find an 8.8 with disc that they'll sell you complete for under $150.

Brackets aren't to spendy or tough to do either, plus you can set your pinion angle with them and not have to run shims.

go to www.car-parts.com its an awesome web site for salvage yards , you put in your zip and and narrow down the part and vehicle you want and it pulls up everything , it saves alot of calling and driving

try south end auto wrecking in Renton I was there Wed. and they have quite a few 8.8 exploders with disc brakes

Okay found on very close now i just need to know whats the difference between the 6 cylinder. and the 8 cylinder? and its 450 for the one with disk good price?
