i bought two 36" hoses, 2 ram fittings, 2 steering box fittings, and the 1.5x8x1 ram. all shipped for $133 i also bought some mounting tabs from balistic fab for like $6 shipped. i have read that the surplus center rams work pretty damn well. i will take some pictures of the install and how it works

Branden, you have more bad luck with steering componants. I'm glad to hear you survived another steering coming apart on you. You know who your real friends are. What were you doing wheeling with guys who left you alone, anyway?? Well, glad to hear you didn't get hurt, Bro. You can always fix the Jeep and make it better. So, should I crash this next NAXJA event in June? Where is it going to be? I'd love to show up with my "Cherokeeforum.com Northwest Chapter" stickers all over my Jeep at a NAXJA function...LOL.

Hey I'm really lookin into this full width swap but it's my dd. I only drive about 5k miles a year so I don't think it would be bad. How's it handle on the road? What speed u got it up to so far?

the axles are a bit wide. i would go 9" rear and 44 front if you wanted to daily drive it. but i have gotten it to about 70mph and it is fine. you gotta remember that these axles came out of vehicles that were highway vehicles. so they will be fine.

That's actually what I'm about to start hunting for is a D44 radius arm and 9" ford set up. I think it would be the easiest way to go. Saw a build like that at tedsoffroad.com

alright back to business. so i started Operation "start fixing jeep to get it back on the road and on the trails" today with quite a bit of success. i started by pulling my steering box out of the jeep in order to drill and tap it for my hydro assist steering which should be here soon. then i stopped by mikes place (dja410) to pick up a couple high steer arm studs. while i was there i also snagged a longside shaft for the 44. Thanks again mike!
so i got the steering box tore apart also. there was waaay more crap in that damn box than i ever thought! i followed this link to tear it apart. http://pirate4x4.com/forum/showthrea...aginaw+rebuild
so far thats all i have done. going to go pick up a tap and get to drilling out the box and getting it back together and ready for when the hydro assist comes.

and i included one picture of the jeep that we took at the begining of the 311 in evans creek.
