I would just bolt a tiny fog light to the rear bumper or to the spare tire gate and hook it up. It would keep the dam 5-O off my but, plus it would **** people off that are behind me when i back up .. which i enjoy dooing..lol
A friend of mine did that on his truck and he hooked up and interior toggle override switch So he can turn it on while not in reverse, and zap the jackasses that would give him the brights. He didn't use a little fog light tho..lol

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think you have to have reverse lights here in WA state. I checked the RCW and could find no laws requiring reverse lamps. As far as I could tell if you have 2 tail lamps, stop lights, head lights, front and rear turn signals, and a license plate light that is all the lights you need to be legal (with some exceptions for older vehicles).
I have been following this thread for a while really like what you have done with your jeep 98CherokeeSport. I am curious how different the ride is with leafs in the front. I live in Bonney Lake and would be interested in checking out your rig and/or wheeling with you sometime.

i think i have seen you around bonney lake. i am usually driving my little honda though. i live off Angeline road if you ever wanna stop by sometime. the ride with leafs is honestly better than coils! there is no creaking and popping from coils and control arms and they ride extremely soft! i think that has to odo with the type of leafs i put on and my shackle angle. it still drives straight down the road and everything

I stand corrected. I also did a bit more research, and although I could not find a specific RCW requiring reverse lights, I did find a few sites stating that federal guidelines require at least 1 reverse light. Plus I found accounts from several people who said they got tickets for having no reverse lights, or out reverse lights.

well i got some work done today finally. my PSC power steering pump pulley finally arrived and i got it thrown on quickly. this along with drilling the fitting in the steering pump out to about 3/16ths drastically improved my steering! before when i sat at an idle i couldnt turn the wheel with all my effort. now sitting at an idle i truly can turn the wheel with one finger. i also got the main frame rail plating done. once this was finished up i was able to get the sliders mounted and welded in place. i picked up some rear HD Engineering frame stiffeners from Bobby (Tampaviking) and will be installing those when i get some time.
so for now i believe she is done. this is due to me starting another job this coming week and i wont have much time to work on it. although i will be taking it up to evans this weekend to test it out and beat on it to make sure nothing is weak anymore. the real test will be at NAXJA NorthWest Fest at the end of the month.
heres a couple quick pictures

Are the springs on the front of ur rig waggy? Looking at that last pic of it you should re drill the center pin hole and move ur front end forward a couple inches. Or if the center pin hole isnt centered see if you can turn ur springs around. It just looks like ur tiresare a little sucked back into the fender wells.
