Ya I didn't want mine to look like every other cherokee. Its unique and I don't know anyone around here who has done it.
Are you talking about revolver shackles in the front or rear leafs?

Revolver shackles would unload awfull and give a ruff ride in the front. and they would not offer enough lift. He would need to add leafs and or blocks. It felxes very well and really does not need and more i dont believe. I have seen revolver shackles in action on a friends commanche and lots of banging around he took them off after a few weeks, and sold them for a big loss os cash. Revolver shackles are a good idea but just flat out are not worth it.

the jeep rides waaaay softer than with coils. a buddy of mine who has a cherokee on a 3" lift drove it the other day and is now contemplating putting leafs in because of the difference in the ride.
the steering works great now that i have the hydro assist. there is a small amount of body roll when i turn because i dont have a trac bar but nothing too bad

the revolving shackles wouldnt be strong. as doug posted it would make the ride worse. i really dont need any more flex. too much flex is just as bad as not enough.

I would have to measure it but I think it was a piece of 4x6x3/16ths for the main bumper and 2x2 for the carrier and a rear dodge shadow hub for the swivel point
