day 4:

i added some pieces to the cage for a little more triangulation and support. i also got my stinger done and cage tie in bars bent and fitted to tie the stinger into the cage. i cut and notched the braces for the B pillars also. i didnt tack these on because i needed to pull the cage out of the jeep to finish the upper welds and get a coat of paint on the top. i ran a few beads on some of the joints then got a couple of buddies to help me lift the whole cage out of the jeep and onto the floor for some finall welds. i got about half way done and the gas in the welder ran out... i cant get it refilled until monday so in dead in the water til then.

cool man. Your cage is looking good. any plans to tie it into the front bumper also? tube fenders? Just curious, cause this is similar to what I was wanting to do. Your cage is inspiring me to get to mine lol, but I think thats going to hold off for awhile lol.

I havent posted any pics up lately because i havent gotten a lot done. just a little every day. i finally had time to get the cage finally in permanentaly and get some paint on it. here is what she is looking like now.

got the stinger/cage tie in welded up. dont know if i will make tube fenders or just go fenderless for a while

the roof.

the inside B pillar support

i ran some tube down around the drivers and passengers seat for a little more protection. welded it to the floor

the tire carrier. the gas tank will sit underneath the tire on the floor. i have a lot of support in this cage so im thinking it should hold up to some decent abuse

the girlfriend helping me paint shes good for somethin!

plan on getting the gas tank mounted up and the fuel lines ran to it in the next few days then start pulling the rear end out and start the links.

The parts that go to the floor behind the front seats will be bolted through the floor to a piece of channel that will be welded to the frame. That is the only part that will be bolted down. Everything else is welded to either bumper, slider or floor
