What's with the new motor, kid? Are you starting the stroker build or did you blow your motor up this last weekend?

 

Couldnt pass up the deal on the longblock. I will slowly build it up as i have extra money laying around. Thinkin a basic 4.7L

 

Man, this build is so awesome, that it almost depresses me. I have SOOOOOO far to go. When my XJ grows up it wants to be like yours. Great stuff!

I do have a few mods that will hopefully be hapening this winter. I plan to be pulling the rear dana 60 out and replacing the spindles with larger bore spindles to accomodate 35 spline axle shafts. Along with this i must replace my detroit locker side gears and buy some chromoly shafts. This setup should hold up to 42" tires and 400hp with a good flogging

I want to slowly build up a few parts because in a few years i hope to start a super secret project

well........the end has come......
i found a deal i couldnt pass up on a new project so the CHEROCON will be no more. thanks everyone for the support and comments! i will post up soon on a part out if anyone is interested. the only thing i will be keeping is the motor, transmission and tcase.

 

This makes me sad.

 

Had a good run but all good things come to an end! Will the new project at least have a thread on here?

 

this was my first ever build and its the car i bought in high school so it will be missed.

My boss told me a while back, only real jeeps have circle headlights..... Apparently he's never driven an xj or yj
