Super bummed I didnt get to make it out, things didn't pan out, couldn't get ready in time. Any plans on setting up another run? I just need to get my effin SYE installed (no room in the shop) and I'll be good to go for the next time.

Same thing happened to me at the 11th hour. I want sway bar disconnects and a rear tow point but I think my rig could hack those trails.

More pics I see, the more pissed I get at myself lol. Looks like it was a good time, let's plan another stocker/basic trip (doesn't have to be same place)

I second. Somewhere slightly flatter but not much! My rig is stock and old too.

Hi All..I just want to thank you all for the kind words written here and the respect you all gave me while we were on the trail...i had a blast and glad u all did also...I will throw this out there and say I will be more then happy to do this again either up in Big bear (for those that couldnt make it) and or Borrego springs/Truckhaven...again this is where we do the Jamboree (cancelled this year )and lots of cool places to explore out there.....it will not be as extreme as you experienced last weekend but still cool to wheel. I will be more then happy to do a run out there...

Not yet. I talk to my gear guy and he said sounds like it needs new springs or the teeth are rounded out. I bought it used but it looked fine so who knows . I can't do anything until i find out what brand it is (Aussie, Lockrite, or Spartin) and see about rebuilding it. They look smiler but the rebuild kits are different. But i don't have a garage right now to take it apart. And i'm worried about how much stress it was putting on the bearings in the axle. Sucks because i just rebuilt the who axle and with new gears... this sucks. I was hoping to have my axles finally done for a while. Doesn't look like i will taking it out anytime soon until i get it fixed. Fun while it lasted.

I geting my xj ready for the next trip, would of been there but had fender issues with the new tires. After a quick cut and fold i think im ready for the next run. just missing a CB but will get one next week. so anytime you guys set something up ill be there. And ill bring my obd2 scaner if someone has a CEL i saw someone asked for it.

Also on the trail i see my temp goes up a bit. Im going to pick a part tomarrow to get fan shroud and what kinda hood vents should i get that look clean???

I didn't have a CB either, but I ordered one when I got home. So I got one now, I just need a nice firestik... I was upset I missed Cameron's guide on the CB, my bud told me it was like a tour guide.

Me and my bud wanna go run John Bull here sometime soon.

I especially would love a Borrego run because it's in desert I would be at way more often.

I've been off the grid for awhile, so I didn't know about this! I'm more or less down for your next run. I had some manifold leak and trackbar issues before, but that's since been resolved. I think I'd like to get a hidden hitch installed up front before the next run, though, so I have a front recovery point. Maybe even finally install a new steering box. CB, I got. I'm on 30's on a 15x8 wheel, so I won't be able to air the tires down a whole lot. Diggin' the idea of a Borrego run, too!
