Las Vegas cherokee ???
Thought i should start a thread for all Las Vegas's XJ owners....
for local runs/meet, wrenching parties, JY finds, local vendors reviews or just chill out.
Bought my 2000 XJ (first ever 4x4 )late last year but has not been off road yet .
This was more like a learning project and at the same time keeping me away from trouble if you know what i meant
I'm a total newbie with wrenching prior to this XJ but with the help of many forum members here and other sites, i have learned a few tricks here and there. Thx ya!
These is some of the things i've done over the last 6 mo (except wheeling )
Rear main seal replacement (what a PITa)
Steering stop adjustment
Replaced fuel pressure regulator and filters
Replaced ball joints
Upgrade ZJ tie rod and most steering linkage bushings
IPF housing/H4 bulbs headlamp upgrade
Motor and tranny mount replacement
Tint
Enough of BS, this is me located Blue Diamond/Ft Apache.

Hey guys the names Steve, I'm 23 live off of Jones and Alta and SOON to be a father.
And right now I have a 98' Grand Cherokee 5.2L as of now it has a 1.75" lift on it with some 33x12.50R15 BFG A/T tires (I like small lifts and big tires)
Right now I think I have a RMS problem but Im not sure if I do. I'm thinking wrenching party!!! Lol
And now just need a custom rear Driveshaft so I can finally install my 231 and finally have 4x4.

month old tank
this is "*****" I bought it for 1,500 bux a month ago, so far I've gotten to the leaky rear main seal/oil pan gasket fiasco. the usual power steering hose leaks and thats about it. 196,000 miles and shes still running pretty good.
She came with sliders which are kinda cool since we live in the desert and a roof rack, which im not too sure about yet.. anyways 2" lift shackles out back and soon to be installed(stolen from the junk yard!!!!! wooooooot!) 2" coil spacer up front. 2357015 bfg mud terrains, and pretty cool lookin STOCK jeep wheels.

Rear main seal is fairly easy, just DAMN messy . (took me 5 freaking days tho )
Toughest part would be to drop the oil pan if you don't have a lift.
I'm in for a wrench party , but i'm tied up with work till late July..let me know.
Btw, congratulation Steve.

Thanks botakbeng I'm excited.
But yeah I think everyone has stuff they need wrenching on. And having other jeep guys with you always makes repairs or mods more fun.
I just need a RMS done sometime as I can see it leaking.
What wrenching do people need?

That seems like a good size lift for an XJ. Now your gonna put on some 33" or bigger tires right!?? Lol
I believe my friend gets a 20% or 40% discount from RC on anything he buys.

Botak I cant find the damn ad on CL. I guess someone snatched em up. keep your eyes peeled. and Im on Vegas Dr. and Michael Way.
Well I just got my replacement radiator fan shroud today in the mail, so now the radiator actually flows air through it at stop lights just in time for summer..
Not much new. playing with the idea of running 31" tires (or 32's) on a two inch lift, Im willing to do a bit of modifying and trimming, but nothing to compromise the overall body lines or shapes and if possible re-use factory fender flares.., attempted AC charge tonight. Fail. The compressor's pigtail wasn't even in when we attempted to fill the system, so the clutch never fired. Then we realized the other end of that "power" cable powering the compressor wasn't plugged into where it should be and was just ran to a switch on the dash. SO this ******* I just bought the car from, turned on his air conditioner compressor manually everyday.
that and I found about 5 other pigtail connectors just unplugged around the engine bay, and unable to locate their counterpart, to plug into :/ what a night..
as far as it just being the three of us...
I've seen a million xj's here. Im thinking about making flyers for this website or a club of some sort and everytime I see an XJ just go put the flyer on the window.
names james by the way

Asking 350$ (front and rear), 4mo old, looks new but not sure if it fit.
Try searching "217-7111" on CL.
http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/pts/2441328312.html
Hope you got your ac fixed, can't help you much with it.
Flyer would be a great idea James.....
Btw, mine is 31" (265 70 R16) with 3" lift (will be up for sale once i save enough for a 4.5" lift, sometime this year i hope ).
