I recently converted my renix closed system with an open system. I put in a csf 3 core brass radiator, all new cooling hoses, new water pump, and new 180 thermostat and I am still running warm. I took out my condensor so its a straightshot of air thru the radiator. Used new coolant as well. Anytime I drive over 15 miles round tripmy truck passes 210 but won't go over 230-240. I'm stumped. Oh and my e fan is hardwired to run constant.

Would my issue possibly be that I have a pretty bad exhuast leak at the header? I was thinking about putting some sort of spacers on the Hood mounts to tilt it up. Has anyone ever done this? If so what material did you use.

The radiator fan is the condenser fan or the little elect fan next to the big fan you want to have that and put it on a switch so it run like the other. Also to let the heat from the engin escape more you want to cut in hood louvers ( or vents). I will be doing all this this weekend so i will keep you informed.

So i finished my durango steering gearbox install and i have to say i feel as though I have lost more turning ability than anticipated. Steering is tight now, not nearly as much slop as before....althought that might be because of a new TRE. Mixed feelings.

I plan on going with the 3 row brass and the tri fan set up sooner or later. So i would just start with putting the fan on a switch for now and go from there.

I was going to convert over to the 3 10" elect fans but the company thermo switches were backordered for six months and i dont want to run a alumn radiator whith plastic fittings they just break too easy.

Yeah, I'll probably end up putting it on a switch when I do the vents
