heres some more info boys and girls about the little wheeling trip that i'm going on so if your interested let me know.

Its going to be slow since we have a couple guys in a yukon and a ridgeline with street tires. So we're expecting a couple flats

We're going to meet up at the second Hewitt station road enterance at 7:45. I believe its the only left turn after the first hewitt station road right after you cross the railroad tracks. We're going to meet up in that little dirt lot area just after you turn in.

We're going to head up happy camp road then turn off to happy camp canyon road and go for plenty of miles of easy road, only 2 minor hills that i can do (a 2wd limited slip) with possible trouble getting up. So 4wd will have no problem. We'll go behind a mine north of superior which is north of oak flats to give you a better idea where it is. After the second hill climb we'll turn back and head to rogers trough and check out this stone hut thing and then turn home. So it should be interesting with these two guys.

If your interested let me know and i'll give you my number and we'll set things up. We'll have just about all the recovery gear imagined minus a winch maybe we'll get to use our new hi-lift its open to everybody interested

Nason, if it helps convince the wifey its a pretty good senic view although half the trip she'll be staring down a steep slope, so you may not want to tell her that Other then that you get some really nice views.

JaFo,sorry to hear that. Hope you get it fixed for the next run

Haha, Tanker, that may actually help, she really likes scenic stuff, and so do I.

I just have to word it like it's some awesome privilege that she gets to go on this really kick butt wheeling trip with me.

Maybe I'll call it an outdoor excursion instead of a wheeling trip.

Haha, its funny, she actually didn't have any qualms about it. I mentioned it and she was like "what time is it at" and I said "7:45, so we'd be leaving here around 5:30" and she said "ok, but I'll be sleeping on the way up".

So, PM will be sent in about two minutes...

Actually, I'll just say it publicly, is there a good rendezvous point near the trail? Like a gas station? Cause I'll need the gas, haha. If so, an address or the name of the place would be awesome so I can google maps it...

haha awesome. the best route for you is to go through florence on hwy 79. the best place to meet is at florence junction where it meets up with the 60 becuase right after that its a short distance to our trailhead. and the closest place to get fuel is in gold canyon the opposite way on the 60. So you will want to get fuel in Florence. Its going to be a long trip, as we're going out behind superior. an option is once we get to superior behind the mine, its only a short distance to town and you can get fuel there if you need it.

Ok, cool, north or south side of the 60?

Consulting google maps, looks like the North side is better, so if I don't hear from you, I'll plan on being at the North side of Florence Junction (79&60) around 7:30. Whew buddy, that means I'm leaving my house at 5 AM, those better be some nice views, haha.

hey nasonguy the telegraph mine road is just on the other side of the 60 from were your going with tankerblade. and sorry i can make it to that one i am fixing my frame saturday. Its hard to call the trail by its name in a 4x4 book i had it was a trail that branches off ajax mine that branches off of box canyon that is called highway to hell. But it didnt cover it and than on the gps we were using it called it telegraph mine road and than in the trail book it says that telegraph mine road is really far north. but all in all i was calling it by the name on the gps the trail starts off either on the 79 or the 60 depending on where you want to start both enterances are just past florence junction. But than you fallow that trail down through those little mountians there and it dumps you out on the 177 just behind superior. Great trails the trail itself is not hard but you can make it hard by going through the river bed it fallows and it has great senic views but it is a rather long trail
