I only paid $18.95 for my FSM for my XJ. It's on a CD with like 30 different PDF files, each one is like 800 pages...

That being said, if it's for a 97-01 XJ, I have everything in PDF, just let me know...

nasonguy,
Yep, that's great. I'm pretty old school and wanted the book out with me. I keep my manuals in the vehicles. Just like the tools and crap I haul everywhere. However, the pdf makes it alot easier in helping people. I wonder if there are the same, or if the cd's are made by another company?
My book is about 3.5" thick, and only for the 01.

I have been in Tucson since 05, and only been working and camping. Ram+Trailer+kids+wife. Not much wheeling. (84 project).
Can a stocker handle chiva? Never been. Anything good on the North side of Lemmon? Correction: I have been half way down Charleau Gap in my brother's stock TJ.

Thanks for the welcome Tankerblade.
I am pretty good with a Fluke, but not as savvy as I should be on the computer. I am on my lunch break and using a work computer. My laptop at home still shows evertime I sign onto CF, that I am the last post on page 9. I know there has still been discussion because of the email updates. Then, when I try and reply or post anything it says my tokens have expired.
Have to work on this one.

Ya, I had to mod a little to get the receiver hitch off my 85 parts XJ to fit my01, so I'll just give it a shot on the skid plate.

Tankerblade, do you have any skid plates, or just goin for it?

To any of you guys, I never own a vehicle without purchasing the factory service manual. Best 100.00 I have spent on many a vehicle. got em for my cummins as well. If you need wiring diagrams or any section data, I can copy/fax or scan to help you out.

Due to family obligations I look forward to trying to set something up with everyone in January. Has there been any plans for that time frame yet?
To answer the question about me, pretty much i just go for it. BS has seen me get through some hairy stuff. and the only damage i've had is a bent heat exaust shield, dented crossmember and scratches on the gas tank (although i dont like that thought, might be making a skid for it sometime soon). If anything gets really hairy i just dont do it. I back out, although that doesnt always work out haha...

Yeah, I just got a plain jane Chiltons in the jeep, and about 90% of my tools in the back, haha, and a winch, a tons of rope, and a big first aid kit, and emergency food, and water, and tie down straps, and a gun (shh...). I keep lots of things in my jeep, haha.

I'd like to have paper manuals for all my vehicles (3 different ones...), but I just don't have that kind of money...

Yep, this has been a major problem for me. I have always had full size rigs all my life. I like to be prepared, and always take a ton of crap. Now, with the XJ I am forced to down size. Such as what comes first: lift or rear bumper spare tire carrier (extra room).

I just slept in the XJ for the camping trip I just got back from. Cramped doesn't even come close.

I definitely need gear management or I will need a Dana 60 in the rear.

And by the way, these 3.55's suck.
