Default sorry about the email bs.

bs, sorry about not getting those diagrams to you. I tried several times today and my scanner won't work with my newer laptop. Haven't tried it since I got a laptop with vista 64.

No relay that i can find. Seems that the cherokee wiring is pretty basic, right off the switch unless you have a daytime running light module (optional)

glad to hear you found the burn through, any idea what caused it?

I've been thowing codes since I got my 01. Today a code came in for "small EVAP leak". Also I consistenly throw P303, P300, and P301.

Still working on it. Hell, the first week I had it I had to put all new freeze plugs in. Now with only 121,000 it seems I have blown the rear main. park it anywhere and theres a puddle of oil 2-4" in dia.

I haven't even had it offroad yet, seriously, minus one camping trip to the Chiricauhas.

On goes the saga.

yeah i have to replace the wiring harness for the dash but if i cant find a used one at a junkyard its going to cost me 500 for a aftermarket one. yeah i know the pain these inline 6s like to leak at that rear main i need to replace mine to but nice part is that its an easy fix. But if i were you and had the money and time i would just dig into it and fix the problems now so you can just get it out of the way seems like if you dont do that things just pile up

Yep,
I try and knock it out completely.
Such as when I replaced the core plugs, I spent 350. on all 4 new O2 sensors. Then, I sprung for a new coil pack (all six), new plugs, total tuneup, and thermostat, full fluid- which I switched to full synthetic. Then the leak got worse. I popped out the third cat and put a magna flow on it. So, i have 3 injectors left to replace- they are in the back and slated for xmas weekend. All I can say is this is quite different since I have owned this Jeep for only 2 months. Quite different from my cummins which never needs anything exept oil, and has over 200K on it.
I have read other threads about the #3 injector needing a heat shield and it is subject to fuel vapor lock, and setting a misfire code. Has this happened to anyone here?

bs- where are you out of again? Is nasonguy the only other Tucsonan here?

yeah the 4.0l tends to have alot of problems oil leaks but i tell you what if you at the very least just change the oil regularly these things will never die. i had a friend whos daughter had an oil leak and didn't pay any attention to it for over 6 months and had driven back and forth to Oregon a few times and it was about bone dry by the time she took a look at it and just put some oil in it and drove it for anther two years before she sold it. But yeah same thing happened to me its just something to expect when you change to synthetic oil it can cause an oil leak or make existing leaks worst. But what kind of synthetic are you running i did mobile one for awhile and wasn't too impressed and switched over to royal purple with a k&n oil filter and i love it. Thinking about doing the royal purple ice and water mix in the radiator its suppose to make the temp run like 20 lower and i am located in Gilbert. Nason is the most active member from down in Tucson but there are a few more but they arent as active on the site.

Ya, I am running the costco special mobile 1. Don't know if I am impressed or not yet. I think the next engine mod for cooling is a toggle swithc for the electric fan and an oil cooler. quadratec had one for 100. One more thing to put up front. Finished my transcooler last month.

Ok, I was curious about the electrical in case I needed to be aware. But that seems to jive. I do not let anyone hook up to me for a jump unless I set it up. Started doing this when I got my first computer controlled crap.
just got to be cautious with all these electronics.
