Hey guys newb, just wanted to say hi an introduce myself (Native Arizonian, first Jeep)...if you ever do any trips closer to our area (Verde Valley) we're game to go, weekends are great as husband works out of town during the week.

Could use some help though, I'm researching 3" lifts an being female (not that its a handicap lol) I'm learning as I go...this is my baby so wanna do it right....can anyone tell me how I find out which rear end I have an if I am better off doing new rear springs or if getting them retempered (not sure if this is what its called) is ok, mine arn't frowning yet but I know its just a matter of time? also with a 3" lift do i need to do a 1" drop on the tcase, Ive read mixed things on this some say yes others no?

Any other advice?

If i were you i would just buy the new spring just so you have the new one and it will defiantly out last the old one. And there should be a tag on the axle that says what it is and the ratio or you can post up a picture and we can tell you. And you the drop i wouldnt put one on because you really dont need it

lol not that kind of tow package. The other tow pakage where you pull a trailer behind the jeep itself. I would assume its the stock gears then.

Thanks guys...I did a lil looking an I have basic towing capabilities (wiring & hitch) but I dont think I have the MF tow package (which from what I can determine included a 4 core rad, trans cooler, class 3 hitch, wiring and a different mechanical fan)
