I wouldn't worry about a SYE with 3.5 lift. You should not have any vibes with that size lift. You will have more issues up front with vibes if your just changing springs but not control arms. You pinion angles will be off.

Guess I will find out. I have heard a lot that the newer xjs have more problems with DS vibes

If you have a 242 and are going to keep it, you have no choice except for a Hack-n-tap. I bought my Hack-n-tap kit from Iron Rock Offroad. I got a driveshaft from them too. You'll need to get the lift installed, your pinion angle corrected then measure to get your driveshaft length correct.

If you go with an IRO SYE kit, I already have the drill guide tool that they sell. You can use mine for free.

That's what I was thinking. Thank for offering the drill guide thing. That looks like something I should be able to do. I need to look in setting pinion angles. Oh did you need or just want a new DS because there site says "You can use another XJ front driveshaft with this yoke! That means your front and rear driveshafts will be identical!"

The drill guide just makes is super easy to get the hole drilled 100% centered.

Setting the pinion angle will need to be done after the lift is installed too. It's pretty simple with a double cardan driveshaft because the angle isn't as critical.

I bought a new driveshaft from them because I couldn't find a used one anywhere. Usually the junk yards are picked clean by people who resell them for way too much $$$

Its usually not hard to find a front driveshaft I have good luck finding them, but then again I go during the week so.

Just pry the lens fronts off with a small screw driver then pull them forward and out.

Thanks, I'm gonna order some LED's this weekend. And hopefully they'll show up right away. I think I'm gonna go Bright white everywhere except the footwells, I'm gonna get green to match these.



And if I dont get new wheels, I'm probably gonna paint the inside/back gloss black, and the faces green to match. I feel like its gonna go in the Hulk/Joker theme
