From what I've been told and read on your 8.25 is better than a Dana 35, less or as great as a ford 8.8, and less than a dana 44. Dana 44's have a better ring and pinion than them all. However a Dana 35 with a superior super axle modded shaft has a better shaft than the stock Dana 44. I'm currently looking for a Dana 44 to re-gear to 4.10's and add a locker and chromoly shafts. That's the best route in my opinion to go.

$4500?! WTF!!!

http://albuquerque.craigslist.org/cto/2113511333.html
I originally paid $3200 for it was a nicer paint job fog lights a working CB radio brand new tires cleaner interior and 10,000 less miles.
when I had it I bent the front axle landing nose heavy off a pretty major jump causing the tires to camber wear ripped out the head liner fog light and CB radio slapped on a $20 spray paint job and didn't even paint the roof the control arms need new bushings I lost the keys to it so I made a 91 Jeep key work I broke the door key in the hatch. It wont pass emissions and has a pretty bad knock in the head the tires vibrate over 50 MPH it needs a trans mount and doesn't have hids hahahaha
Its in all worth maybe $1500

he wont sell it for 4500 no one in their right mind would pay 4500 for a 89 cherokee, i know i wouldn't no matter how good of condition it was in..well i would but the biatch better be freakin immaculate and have little to no freakin miles on it. thats crazy dude had some guy out clovis low ball me to 500 dollars for my chevy belair cause i had to get it sold and saw it a couple months ago on craigslist for like 3500 i was freakin pissed, but i actually emailed the guy. Said he put 1200 dollars worth of engine work into it and that is why it was worth so much more...i just laughed to myself, but i figure the dude probably sold it and i should have sold it for more or not at all.
